SOURCE: WBEZ At least 600,000 Syrians have fled the conflict, flooding into neighboring countries who have struggled to respond to such an enormous influx of people. Syrian-American Yisser Bittar recently returned from a visit to Syria, where she went with several other young Syrian-Americans to assess the humanitarian situation and deliver aid. She explains what her organization, the Syrian American Council, is doing to help provide humanitarian relief.
