Washington, DC - The Syrian American Council, America's largest and oldest grassroots Syrian American organization, unequivocally condemns ISIS' heinous terrorist attack Thursday in a Hezbollah-controlled neighborhood in Beirut, Lebanon. Forty-four people were killed while and over 200 were injured. 

ISIS' brutality and sectarianism know no bounds. As victims of daily terrorism by Assad, ISIS, Hezbollah, Russia, and Iran, Syrians know too well about the pain of losing loved ones. Such attacks only strengthen our resolve for a free, pluralistic, and democratic future for Syria and Lebanon, without ISIS and Hezbollah and their practices of terrorism and sectarianism.
