WASHINGTON, D.C.  - On Thursday, October 8, leaders of the Syrian-American and Muslim communities will host a news conference in front of the Russian embassy in Washington, D.C., to condemn that nation's airstrikes in Syria and the resulting killings of civilians and destruction of health facilities and other civilian infrastructure.
Event organizers will also hand-deliver a letter to the Russian ambassador outlining the condemnation of the airstrikes. A Syrian physician will also speak about the impact of the Russian airstrikes.
