Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., issued a Dear Colleague to members of the House of Representatives requesting they sign a draft petition letter addressed to Secretary of State John Kerry.  The letter requests the State Department, "to commit funding to international criminal investigations and prosecutions of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Syria."

The deadline for lawmakers to sign the letter has been extended to June 24th.

Congressman Kinzinger has been a strong advocate for Syria.  In 2013 he supported U.S. air strikes against Assad, and has repeatedly called for the establishing of a no-fly zone and humanitarian safe zones in Syria.

Please contact your representative requesting that they sign Rep. Kinzinger's letter.

To date, Reps. Andre Carson, D-Ind., Robert Dold, R-Ill., and Betty McCollum, D-Minn., have co-signed the letter.
