Action Alert
We need your help! We have learned that Assad’s envoy to the United Nations Bashar Al-Jafaari and Assad’s cousin Ribal Al-Assad are both keynoting events in the U.S. to spread their malicious propaganda. The communities where the events are set to take place are aware and organizing to take action. We are calling on the rest of the country to support them and to stop any further upcoming events.
Here are the facts:
Ribal Al-Assad, cousin of Bashar Al-Assad and son of the Butcher of Hama Rifaat Al-Assad, is on a public relations tour. He will be in Portland, Maine on April 11th, 2016 and in Boston on April 12th, 2016. He is speaking on behalf of his organization ‘The Organization of Freedom and Democracy in Syria’, claiming that his father was not responsible for any wrongdoing and that he and his father would like to ‘see democracy’ in Syria. He opposes the removal of Bashar al-Assad.
Bashar Al-Jaafari, the current Permanent Representative of the Assad regime to the United Nations, will be speaking at an event in New Jersey on April 16th, 2006. Al-Jaafari can only move within a 30-mile radius from Columbus Circle due to restrictions placed on him by the U.S. government after heavy pressure from the Syrian American community. Al-Jaafari is one of Assad’s top propagandists.
It is our moral duty as U.S. citizens not to allow anyone working for the
Assad regime to spread their malicious propaganda in the United States.
We need to take action immediately:
- Call AND email the organization hosting the speakers and ask that they cancel the event.
- Call AND email the venue where the event is taking place and ask that cancel the event

- the worst refugee crisis since World War II: Assad’s war on his people has caused displacement of millions of people, many of whom had to flee to become unwelcome refugees in unknown territories.
- the full destruction of life and infrastructure of the an entire country.
- the rise of terrorist groups such as ISIS who found a safe haven in in a vacuum created by Assad.
- the rise of labor and sex trafficking of Syrian women and children due to a humanitarian tragedy
- the rise of poverty and illiteracy in generations of Syrians.
