We would like to thank Congressmen Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Brendan Boyle (D-PA) for establishing the Friends of a Free, Democratic, and Stable Syria Caucus, announced on May 25th. Congressmen Kinzinger and Boyle inspire us as they continue to spread awareness and show support for a free Syria.

Syrians and Syrian Americans look to leaders like Kinzinger and Boyle as beacons of hope. The Free, Stable, and Democratic Syria Caucus serves as a platform made up of congressional members who come together regularly to focus on US-Syria relations and issues that concern Syrian Americans. We trust this Caucus to instill policies needed to end the bloodshed in Syria.

The announcement last Thursday by the Congressmen was especially important as the date marked the 5th anniversary of the Houla massacre, a brutally executed mass murder by the Assad regime that took the lives of over 108 Syrians, including 34 women and 49 children.
